What is Emory Crew?

Emory Crew is a student-run club sport at Emory University. The team was founded in 1990 and has continued to grow since then. We practice 3-4 times weekly on the water and travel to about 8 regattas during the year, located in cities throughout the South. As a result of the dedication each member has to this team and our shared passion for the sport, Emory Crew never strays from the path of constant improvement and success!

Emory Crew’s Impact

Our mission is to make rowing accessible to any Emory student, and to compete at a high level. The team was founded in 1990 and has continued to grow since then. Our Row-A-Thon fundraiser is an annual tradition! Our team will row 50 meters for every $1 raised on the last day of fundraising (March 8th) - and host a live stream while doing so!

The Impact of Your Gift

The costliest items for our team are the boats themselves, and without them we cannot row! Though our varsity team boat has served us well for many years, the time has come to retire it due to damage, wear and tear. The funds raised through this campaign will go towards the purchase of a new 8-seater boat for our varsity team, enabling them to continue to compete and practice. With your support, we will be one step closer to having all the essential equipment we need to keep pursuing our mission.

A gift to this project is a donation to this organization’s general fund. While the group has stated their needs for funding, their leadership may use funds raised for any purpose consistent with their registered student organization mission at Emory.
