Thanks from the Emory Pipeline Family!

January 12, 2016

We'd like to thank each and every one of you who has taken the time to contribute and to help spread the word about our campaign. We surpassed our fundraising goal —and we couldn't have done it without you!

The upcoming semester will be an important one for the Emory Pipeline Collaborative. Not only are we expanding to 5 different Atlanta high schools, we’re also working to create a year-round mentor system for both high school students and undergraduates. This campaign and the funds we raised will be instrumental in helping us achieve these goals.

We are so grateful for the support we have received during the past few weeks. In addition to showing the incredible breadth of the Pipeline family, it has reaffirmed our mission of empowerment and positive, dynamic change.

Thank you again, and here’s to the best year of Pipeline yet!

One Week to Go for Each One, Teach One!

January 04, 2016

Happy New Year from the Emory Pipeline Collaborative! We would like to take this time to thank all those who have generously contributed and supported the campaign thus far. To date, we have raised just over 50% of our $10,000 goal!

With just ONE WEEK left in our fundraising campaign, we need your support in spreading the word and helping us with the final push. Ring in the new year by supporting our mission of empowering Atlanta public high school students to follow their dreams and pursue a higher education. Contributions will help provide funding for sophomore students to join our program that has impacted over 400 students, mentors, faculty, and alumni over the past nine years. Help us continue to expand our Pipeline family.

Encourage support for Pipeline before the end of the year!

December 29, 2015

Thanks to all of our Pipeline friends for your support so far in our fundraising campaign. We have raised more than 50% of our $10,000 goal, and now we need your help to get us to the finish line! There are only 12 days to go before the campaign deadline, so please let your friends, family, teachers, and community know about our project. They can check out our short video at https://www.moovly.com/gallery/user/b03ea104-9409-217b

We’re almost halfway there!

December 22, 2015

Through your support, we have already raised $4,866!

While this amount is almost 50 percent to our goal of $10,000, we still have a way to go. Emory Pipeline Collaborative means the world to our mentors and mentees, and we are all extremely grateful for your generous donations.

Your contributions to the Pipeline family allow us to continue to expand our mission in mentoring and encouraging students from our local high schools to pursue higher education and become more curious about the health-sciences field.

Please reach out to others and help spread the word to keep Pipeline going strong. Again, we thank you for your continued support in giving the gift of education to our most deserving students. From our own Pipeline family to yours, we wish you happy holidays!

Welcome to the Emory Pipeline Family!

December 10, 2015

We are truly thankful for your generous contribution to our program and its mission. Our goal within Emory Pipeline Collaborative is to create extensive learning opportunities and mentorship experiences for promising high school students within the Atlanta Public School system. Because of your donation, we can continue to work closely with deserving students from several local high schools and to provide them special learning experiences at the Emory University School of Medicine. The Emory Pipeline program is truly unique in its ability to support these high school students with both undergraduate and graduate student mentors.

As with any large, dynamic program, we have operating costs that impact the number of students we can support through the program. Your contribution helps preserve and expand our nine-year tradition by providing books and laptops for our college-bound seniors, funding for our closing ceremony (our culminating event of the year), after-school food for high school student participants, and transportation for each session.

Emory Pipeline serves a critical role in facilitating positive change in the lives of remarkable students. With your support, we can help students like Quenshawn Brandon (a senior at South Atlanta High School) fulfill her dream of pursuing a college education. Here are her thoughts on the program:

"Emory Pipeline has encouraged personal growth in me and my peers. It is a great mentorship program that gives you knowledge you may need in the medical field. Emory Pipeline has taught me so much, from helping me make a final decision on my future career goals to gaining crucial communication skills. I have been a part of Emory Pipeline for two years and attended a National Youth Leadership Program during the summer of 2015. Emory Pipeline motivates me to be ambitious and to be an effective leader. Being a part of Emory Pipeline the last two years has been the best part of my life."

Our motto is "Each One, Teach One," and it certainly takes each person in our community to invest in our students. Thank you, once again, for your investment into our students and their future. Please continue to spread the word about our program and our current Momentum fundraising project.
