Thank you for supporting emerging entrepreneurs with your investment in Emory Impact Investing Group (EIIG) through Social Enterprise @ Goizueta.
To demonstrate the kinds of emerging business opportunities being cultivated in our community through partnerships within Emory’s Social Enterprise @ Goizueta, we’d like to invite you to attend one of two upcoming focus groups. Sponsored by the Start:ME Accelerator Program, these groups showcase examples of the types of applicants who may ultimately apply and be considered for loan funding through EIIG.

Thank you so much to everyone who contributed! We exceeded our ambitious goal of $15,000 by more than 10 percent! We are moved by your generosity and by the genuine engagement that so many of you have demonstrated with the group. These funds will enable us to make two additional loans as we continue working toward closing the microbusiness gap in Atlanta.
For those of you who want to stay updated, I encourage you to check out our website or email Casey Rhode.
Thanks so much to everyone who has contributed to the tremendous success of our campaign over the last few weeks. Through your generosity, we’ve made great progress toward our goal, which will allow us to continue providing support to promising microentrepreneurs who are starting or growing ventures in local Atlanta neighborhoods.
We wanted to take this opportunity to introduce you to one of our student leaders. Jonathan Moore is a sophomore at Emory College and intends to major in business with a concentration in finance. Jonathan started working in EIIG in the fall semester of his freshman year and joined the executive board as the chief operating officer in charge of planning EIIG events on campus. In his current role as chief investment officer, Jonathan now oversees loan criteria and the investment process and leads the student consulting teams that provide support to our microentrepreneurs.
We hope you’ll continue to help us spread the word about the work of EIIG and the opportunity donors have to help us make a difference in the local Atlanta community through targeted short-term debt investments to microentrepreneurs. Thank you!
Following the completion of our due diligence process during the 2015 spring semester, Emory Impact Investing Group (EIIG) selected Krumbz Bakery, run by Nicole Massiah, as our first investment. Krumbz Bakery is located in the Metro Atlanta area and is dedicated to providing desserts that are “extraordinary in taste and looks.”
Our investment with Krumbz Bakery officially closed last semester, and EIIG continues to provide Nicole with business development consultation. In the time since we’ve partnered with Krumbz, the business has grown its sales significantly. Congratulations Nicole!
We are grateful for your support which will allow us to help promising entrepreneurs like Nicole accomplish their dreams. Please help us spread the word as we work to expand the amount of capital available to promising microentrepreneurs starting or growing ventures in local Atlanta neighborhoods.
