Emory Eagles for Israel (EFI) is a pro-Israel cultural organization on campus that aims to educate students about the history and culture of Israel. Some of our past events include Israeli-Latin Night, where we explored the history of Latin American Jews in the Diaspora and the relationship between Israel and Latin America, and Namaste Shalom, where we presented the cultural similarities between India and Israel through their food, music, people, and technological advances.
This year, EFI is proud to announce that we will dedicate an entire week to Israeli cultural activities. Our team of dedicated students has programming lined up that will ensure that this will be the most successful week of events in our organization’s history creating awareness of Israel by showcasing its culture, its diverse people, and its fun personality. The events for the week include customized shirt spray-painting from Artists 4 Israel, speakers from Israeli humanitarian aid non-profits, Krav Maga self-defense lessons from a professional instructor, a karaoke night benefitting Save a Child’s Heart, an Israeli Shabbat dinner with all of the Jewish religious organizations at Emory open to all students, and a culminating Israel 101 Trivia Night hosted by HQ Trivia’s Scott Rogowsky!
Our mission of unity through education and collaboration starts with you. We want to make learning about Israel fun and engaging for the whole Emory community, and we can only do this with your generous support. Gifts of all sizes will help us to achieve our goal of uniting Emory’s campus for a fantastic Israel Week filled with cultural awareness, dialogue, and a collaborative campus environment. Our unity will help combat anti-Israel and antisemitic sentiments around the nation, and our events will provide an exciting and engaging way to learn about the country.
All funds will be directly contributed to the costs for these events. Any surplus will enhance the quality of our programming or be donated to an Israeli nonprofit that gives humanitarian aid to people all over the world, such as ISRAID or Save a Child’s Heart. Please help us reach our goal, and make a difference in our community by contributing to this campaign.
