April 10, 2020

Thank you to you for your generous support so far! In one week, we have raised nearly $2,500. Your gifts have allowed us to initiate our research efforts.

We have been successful in securing samples from SARS-CoV-2 infected patients, which will be used for our investigation of the utility of antibodies for fighting COVID-19.

Since initiating this campaign, our team has entered into collaboration with Dr. Elliot Frohman (Professor of Neurology, Neurosurgery and Ophthalmology and Director of the Multiple Sclerosis and Neuroimmunology Center at the Dell Medical School at the University of Texas at Austin) and Teresa Frohman (Associate Professor of Neurology, Neurosurgery and Ophthalmology). Together, Dr. Parsons and the Frohmans, are developing hypotheses for novel COVID-19 treatment interventions aimed at restoring and regulating immune responses directed against SARS-CoV-2 and mitigating damage and destruction to the lung gas exchange apparatus resulting from explosive and poorly regulated anti-viral immune responses.

We are so appreciative of your support. Please help amplify this message and your impact by sharing why you donated to the Support Antibody Research To Help Stop COVID-19 campaign via Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn. Together, we will continue to work towards mitigating and treating COVID-19 and other viral epidemics.

Thank you.
