Class of 2020,
As students and crucial members of the Emory community, we recognize this is not the spring semester we anticipated. If you are experiencing financial hardship due to COVID-19, please know that we stand with you and that the Emory Together Fund is there to provide relief during this difficult time.
Emory has supported students in their greatest time of need. If you are able to contribute, we ask that you join us in giving back to the place that has given us so much.
Emory is more than an institution of higher learning. For many of us, Emory is the place where we’ve grown, built friendships, effected change, and made lasting impact! In this time, we have really seen the strength of our community.
We encourage you to support the area at Emory that means the most to you. Whether you support your school or a student organization that offered you a shared community experience, an immediate need like Feed the Frontline in Atlanta or DRIVE, which supports research for a COVID-19 cure, your gift will make a difference.
As a member of the class of 2020, you also have two added incentives to make your gift today:
An anonymous donor contributed $1,000 to match all gifts made by students in the class of 2020 to this campaign, which will double your impact immediately.
As an added thank you for your generosity, all graduating students who make a gift will receive a commemorative class of 2020 Blue Tassel shipped directly to you.
Through our work with leaders of the graduating class, we have curated a list of suggested funds where you can make an impact. However, we also have a longer list of additional funds that you can support. This list includes other COVID-19 relief funds, Arts programs at Emory, Greek Organizations, Athletic Teams, and many student organizations.
Black Student Alliance (BSA)
Black Student Alliance exists to encourage diversity, advancement, and leadership, as well as provide programs that unite, educate and celebrate the Black community at Emory University.
Campus Life: Student Success
This fund supports the Center for Student Success Programs and Services which works to assist students and their families on an ongoing basis and in times of crisis – including but not limited to meeting academic, medical, financial, and social challenges, as well as providing assistance to assault survivors.
DRIVE Research for Coronavirus Cure
Drug Innovation Ventures at Emory (DRIVE) is a nonprofit biotechnology company founded to discover and develop antiviral drugs to help end deadly pandemics. Gifts support their current efforts to develop and test a promising antiviral therapeutic for coronavirus.
Racial and Cultural Engagement (RACE)
The Office for RACE encourages and challenges students to inquire about the construction of racial identities and create active learning communities that enhance their awareness and exploration of why and how race informs cultural and communal development.
Center for Creativity & Arts Gifts
Gifts the the Center support the integration of the arts into the Emory College curriculum, campus life experience, and extra-curricular activities.
Business School Fund for Excellence
Gifts to the Business School Fund for Excellence are unrestricted and make an immediate difference by allowing the dean to address priorities like scholarships, campus improvements, research and faculty support--all of which help achieve the school’s personal approach to education.
Emory College Fund for Excellence
Gifts to the Emory College Fund for Excellence are unrestricted and make an immediate difference by allowing the dean to address priorities like scholarships, campus improvements, research and faculty support--all of which help achieve the school’s personal approach to education.
Nursing Fund for Excellence
Gifts to the Nursing Fund for Excellence are unrestricted and make an immediate difference by allowing the dean to address priorities like scholarships, campus improvements, research and faculty support--all of which help achieve the school’s personal approach to education.
Oxford Class Gift
Gifts to the Oxford Class Gift Fund support the annual Oxford Class Gift and help the class leave a lasting legacy on campus.
