Mohammad “Mo” Wehbi
December 2, 1969 – November 12, 2020
The Gastroenterology Fellowship Program and the entire Emory community are mourning the passing of Dr. Mohammad Wehbi, excellent gastroenterologist and former Gastroenterology Fellowship Associate Program Director, who passed away on Thursday, November 12, 2020.
Mohammad was a dedicated father, supportive colleague, loving friend, great physician, and committed educator. He focused his career while at Emory to mentoring and teaching fellows. Mohammad worked hard as a physician who took excellent care of his patients and dedicated himself to the wellbeing of his patients.
The Division of Digestive Diseases of Emory School of Medicine invites you to help further Mohammad’s legacy by making a gift to endow the Dr. Mohammad Wehbi Gastroenterology Fellow Award Endowment. This fund will support an award for the GI Fellow who embodies Mo’s example: hard-working with demonstrated excellence in clinical care and scholarship. The fellows who receive this award will continue Mo’s legacy of excellence in patient care and scholarship.
Our goal is to establish an endowment for this award in perpetuity to benefit the Gastroenterology Fellowship Program to which Dr. Mohammad Wehbi dedicated such time and effort. We need to raise $50,000 in order to create this endowment. If the goal of $50,000 is not reached by April 27, 2023, then Emory will move these gifts to the GI Fellows Fund which supports the Gastroenterology Fellowship Program.

Though you will not see any notation about the Mohammad Wehbi Endowment on the giving link, coding behind the scenes will ensure that your gift is properly designated.
