Thank you for your interest in helping the Emory Volunteer Medical Interpretation Services. Even though our crowdfunding campaign has ended, you can still support VMIS by making a gift today!
Thank you, thank you, thank you! We could not be more grateful for all the donations towards diminishing the language-based inequity in healthcare.
Each year, we train ten new members who are just as passionate about this mission as you are. And with over $9000, we guarantee at least two years of EVMIS. Your donation will directly contribute to the 40-hour training course that costs on average $650 per student.
If you would like to continue with us in this journey, follow our social media platforms – on Instagram and Facebook – where we will continue to share our progress and experiences.
Together, we help countless individuals in need of medical interpretation as well as medical facilities and Emory students. Our EVMIS family just wanted to say that YOU are making a real impact in the Atlanta community – Thank you!
Our EVMIS family could not be happier about the impact of this amazing fundraiser. We are so close to reaching 100% of our goal, thanks to every single one of you.
We have two weeks to raise $1000 and reach 100% of our goal, which will help future members of EVMIS to become qualified medical interpreters and assist countless patients and physicians that struggle daily with the language barrier in underserved communities. If you would like to make an even greater impact, please share our Momentum fundraiser, momentum.emory.edu/EVMIS, with family, friends, and colleagues via Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn. You, too, have the power of extending EVMIS's reach by your efforts.
Remember that you are changing our organization and the Atlanta community for the better – Thank you!

Thank you for helping us reach 50% of our $9750 goal!
We are beyond grateful for all your donations toward our future medical interpreters. Every single dollar will help our volunteers get professionally trained and help countless patients and physicians in underserved areas of Atlanta.
As of now, every member of our Fall 2020 class has finalized their interpreter training and will soon be heading to Good Samaritan Health Center to put their attained skills into work. Our mission is to diminish the language-based inequity in healthcare, and YOU have contributed to this cause!

Your donation can help Emory VMIS medical interpreters facilitate patient and physician interactions and give limited-English-proficiency patients a voice they would simply not have access to without an interpreter.
You are making a really important contribution in helping Emory VMIS break the language barrier between patient and provider.
By contributing, you are helping our volunteers amplify their services to more communities in Atlanta and increase the number of patients that are able to feel comfortable in the medical setting. We appreciate the value you place on patient care and advocacy!
With this sum of money, we can cover transportation fees for one semester. This fall semester we helped over 30 patients communicate with their doctors and understand their medical conditions.
With this sum, we can cover the cost of the Medical Interpreter course, transportation to the classes, and the licensing exam for one interpreter. Many of our interpreters attend at least 4 clinics a semester, helping over 5 patients a month!
Our organization does really important and necessary work in the Atlanta community and many patients rely on our interpreters. This incredibly generous donation helps secure a future for VMIS, so we can keep sending our students to volunteer at under-served communities. Thank you!
