We’re raising money to help us buy new oars for the Emory Crew rowing team. The COVID-19 pandemic caused us to lose our boathouse at Stone Mountain and we had to leave our oars, outdoors and untouched, on campus for over a year and a half. Due to the UV exposure, natural weather conditions, and general age of our oars, we were unable to recover/refurbish most of them.
We’re raising $8,000 to buy 16 oars for our team. Each oar costs about $500 and 16 oars will be enough for two 8’s (a boat with 8 rowers).
