Renew your support this #GivingTuesday

November 28, 2022

Giving Tuesday was created as a simple idea – a day that encourages people to do good. Your past gift to the Student Hardship Fund helped provide financial assistance to support students during catastrophic events, such as the COVID-19 pandemic, a death in the family, unexpected job loss, uninsured medical expenses, and eviction. A student committee helps confidentially review applications in conjunction with the Office of Financial Aid to award funds to students facing unexpected financial challenges. Thank you for being a part of a real, tangible outcome of GOOD within the Emory community

Ongoing support and advocacy for the Student Hardship Fund is still very much needed. For this reason, we hope you will renew your support again this Giving Tuesday, perhaps also in honor of the 10-year anniversary of this day of global giving back. Gifts of all sizes can help ensure that students can continue their education despite the obstacles they are facing.

Click here to renew your gift to the Student Hardship Fund. We hope you’ll join the #GivingTuesday movement again and reimagine a world built upon shared humanity and radical generosity. Emory Momentum now accepts multiple payment options for your gift: choose from debit or credit card, PayPal, Venmo, and ApplePay (if set up on your device).

We did it – thank you!

December 07, 2021

On behalf of all of us at the Student Hardship Fund, we want to thank everyone who contributed to our campaign during Emory’s 2021 Giving Tuesday. We are so grateful to all of our donors who helped us raise over $7,500! Since we are completely funded by donations alone, your support allows us to continue pursuing our mission of assisting students experiencing financial hardship. Again, thank you!

Thank you for making Emory a part of your GivingTuesday!

December 03, 2021

Every donation can spark real change. In this case, the collective impact of more than 400 gifts totaling over $71,000 to Emory’s GivingTuesday causes will create life-changing opportunities within the Emory community. From mentorship and experiences outside the classroom to inclusive community programs and food security, you are helping to ensure that Emory students are flourishing during their time on campus and are prepared to succeed in meaningful careers.

Donors like you make the Student Hardship Fund possible. We are elated to share that we have raised over $7,400 dollars, reaching 99of our ambitious goal. Our campaign page will be extended through December 5th for any last gifts to help us get closer to, or exceed, our goal.

Continue the GivingTuesday momentum

November 30, 2021

Thank you so much for supporting the Student Hardship Fund on Emory’s GivingTuesday this year. We cannot emphasize enough how important donors such as yourself are to our mission. Without you, our fund would not be available for students who need it.

We have already distributed over $15,000 in the Fall 2021 semester alone, which is one of the highest amounts we have ever provided in such a short time frame. That means that your donation is truly more important than ever before.

We have raised over $6,200 toward our GivingTuesday goal of $7,500. But there is still more time left to encourage others to join you! Help us reach this goal by sharing this campaign with your networks, using the social share buttons on our page or here via Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, or via email (http://momentum.emory.edu/GTSHF).

We greatly appreciate your continued support of the Student Hardship Fund and your willingness to share the cause with others to amplify our impact. From all of us, thank you!

Sincerely,

The Student Hardship Fund Committee
