Propel BLSA 3Ls

As a local chapter of the National Black Law Students Association, we embody a mission to increase the number of culturally responsible Black and minority attorneys who excel academically, succeed professionally, and positively impact the community. Our chapter is fundraising to create a 3L scholarship for our members who are rising third-year (“3L”) students. Currently, our organization has scholarships targeting first-year and second-year students but does not have an initiative in place to provide aid to 3Ls. As students approach their third and last year of law school, they are faced with several financial obligations, including the costs of bar prep, bar exam, graduation regalia, books, interview attire, and more. Our 3L members are often forced to take out extra loans to cover these costs. We would like to create a scholarship that will help alleviate some of the financial burden and stress that our 3Ls face before embarking on their legal careers.

With your support, our organization could provide financial assistance to 3L students. This will allow them to focus on graduating, as opposed to finances. With a $50 donation, you can receive a BLSA Alumni t-shirt. With a $100 donation, you can receive a BLSA Alumni hoodie. The design for both apparel options can be viewed below. We thank you so much for your support. Your donations will positively impact a number of 3L BLSA members as they gear up to start their new legal careers.
