Emory Men’s Basketball Club represents sportsmanship, friendship, resiliency and diversity. Building on this an opportunity to empower male athletes, the club also seeks to give back to the Emory community and the greater Atlanta area through service.
Emory’s comprehensive Club Sports program is an integral part of campus recreation, bridging the gap between intramural sports activities and intercollegiate athletics. Club Sports create opportunities to participate in competitive sport, improve skills, gain leadership experience, and enjoy the character, life lessons, and team-building value of sportsmanship alongside the thrill of competition.
The Men’s Basketball Club represents the Emory community by competing against other schools.
To maintain our club level certification, the Emory Men’s Basketball Club must compete in regional tournaments against our peers from other club teams. To do this we need support to cover the expenses associated with of travel, hotel, and registration for the team.
Because sport clubs are student organized, participants gain significant experiential learning by developing a constitution, governing themselves, and demonstrating in decision making and risk management.
Emory Club Basketball is seeking $1,000 to cover the costs to compete in regional tournaments. Tournament play is required for us to maintain our certification in the club league.
A fundamental shot at this level helps pay for one required referee for a game.
A clutch shot at this level helps us cover the full cost of a scrimmage including referees and scorekeepers.
A long-range shot of $500 helps us cover the costs of hosting a tournament, including needed staff and facilities.
Your game-winning shot of this amount helps us cover full cost of travel to an away tournament including entry fee, travel, and lodging. We cannot thank you enough for your donation and for helping Emory Men’s Club Basketball reach our goals.
