Thank you for your interest in supporting Emory's Department of Surgery Training Programs. This Momentum crowdfunding campaign has ended, but you can still support the Galloway-McKinnon Fund by making a gift here, today! Note that you will not be eligible to receive the book mentioned below.
At the Emory Department of Surgery, we continue to define the future of surgery through providing the best care, conducting innovative research, and training tomorrow's best and brightest. The heritage of the Department of Surgery is built upon a steady foundation of decades of surgical trainee alumni and faculty who have contributed towards the tripartite mission of the department and have created the Emory Surgery legacy as we know it today.
In 2021, we established the Galloway-McKinnon Alumni Society to allow those who have trained at the Emory Department of Surgery the opportunity to connect with the institution and deepen engagement with the Emory Surgery alumni community. Generous gifts to the Galloway-McKinnon Fund allow our department to continue to advance the educational legacy of the Department of Surgery and to provide opportunities for alumni to connect with each other and honor the people who guided them on their surgical training path.
We invite you to join us in continuing to elevate Emory’s legacy of service and excellence with a gift to the Galloway-McKinnon Fund today. Your generosity will support our efforts to innovate the field of surgery now and for the future.
We are currently celebrating the life and legacy of Dr. Walter Ingram through a tributary book compiled by Emory Surgery alumni. To receive a copy of the tributary book, a donation of at least $58.50 is recommended. Your gift will be used to supplement training opportunities for the education of Emory Surgery residents at Grady Memorial Hospital.
This Book Knows More About Burns Than You: Walter L. Ingram, MD Burn and Trauma Surgeon at Grady Memorial Hospital
The 206-page book includes a bibliography and compilation of Dr. Ingram's 25 published academic manuscripts, as well as dozens of tributes, stories, and "Ingramisms" submitted from the many years of Emory surgery residents that he trained and whose lives he touched. Proceeds from the sales of the book will be used to support the educational resources of Emory Department of Surgery residents at Grady, a place where Dr. Ingram practiced his entire career.
Books will be shipped after payment is received and processed by Emory Gift Accounting. If you are an Emory University Hospital employee, we can also drop your book off at your office or have it available for pickup from our education suite.
