Thank you for your interest in this Momentum crowdfunding project. This campaign has ended, but you can still support the Menstrual Health Awareness and Resources Coalition Fund by making a gift here, today!
The Menstrual Health Awareness and Resources Coalition! Since our establishment in 2021, MHARC has helped tackle period poverty at Emory University by providing low-income students with 2-3 months of period products each Spring semester. This process is started by collecting interest on what specific products are needed, allocating those products, and distributing them. 150+ young women and menstruating people have been aided by our organization, and we want this to continue!
MHARC is looking forward to host it 3rd annual distribution day! We provide for the Emory student body (undergraduate, graduate, and Oxford students), we are trying to expand to outreach to over 200 students this year. In addition, we aim to break down the walls of taboo surrounding menstrual cycles and give students a safe space to discuss their experiences.
Every donation is a direct effort to stop period poverty across Emory’s campus. Since 2021, MHARC’s distribution days have provided students with a way to get products that are accessible and catered to their specific needs. Periods don’t stop, and having to choose between pads and other necessities should not be the case for students. Additionally, one of our goals is to obtain an influx of sustainable products to help students in the long term. Products like period underwear, cups, and reusable pads are more expensive than disposables, but last longer meaning longer lasting impact on the students we support. Our outreach grows with every passing year, and that means providing more for the students on this campus. MHARC guarantees that every supportive dollar will go directly into the efforts of creating a campus free of period poverty and make an everlasting impact for menstruating students.
A gift to this project is a donation to this organization’s general fund. While the group has stated their needs for funding, their leadership may use funds raised for any purpose consistent with their registered student organization mission at Emory.
