Two years at Oxford College constitute a rigorous and exciting learning experience. When we leave this historic campus, many of us will continue to Emory in Atlanta buoyed by a prestigious education, cherished friendships, and — most important — open minds. We leave Oxford with a newfound appreciation for the strong relationships we have forged with our peers and with the faculty and staff, forming lasting bonds we will carry throughout our lives. 

In Memory

We wanted to create a meaningful and lasting tribute to our beloved classmate Krisha Patel 24Ox. With her profound love for art and poetry in mind, we aim to commemorate Krisha's spirit by leaving a gift that reflects her passion and caring nature.

The Gift

We plan to install a stained glass window on the second floor of Candler Hall. Inspired by Krisha's artistry, we are featuring a sunflower symbolizing the brightness and warmth she brought to our lives. We believe this art piece will serve as a fitting representation of Krisha's enduring spirit on campus. Her light will continue to shine on campus.

The Space

With the extra funds raised, we envision renovating the space for multi-usage by students. This area could serve as a study space, meditative retreat, meeting venue, and more. Should this space fall under the jurisdiction of the Center for Pathways and Purpose, any extra funds raised will be allocated to the fund, with the understanding that the space will be preserved and revitalized.

We are enthusiastic about leaving a legacy that can be utilized for both personal and public purposes, contributing to a healthy and vibrant campus life. Our collective effort will not only honor Krisha but also reflect the strong bonds within our class and our enduring connection to Oxford.
