Thank you for your interest in Celebrating Jacob Cohen-Kashi's Legacy! This campaign has ended, but you can still support by contacting Ryan Roche at rroche@emory.edu.
To Jacob’s family, classmates, friends, and supporters of this campaign:
Because of you, there is exciting news to share – even though our Momentum page shows just over $45,000 raised, our goal has actually been reached, and the Jacob Cohen-Kashi Endowed Award has successfully raised over $50,000 in gifts and pledges! This could not have been done without each of you. Please know that every contribution, no matter the size, has made a meaningful impact that will resonate for generations of Oxford students to come.
If you or anyone you know remains interested in making a gift to the Cohen-Kashi Award, I invite you to consider making another one-time gift or even setting up a recurring donation. Your continued support will help this fund grow, allowing the award to expand its reach and impact. Questions about this can be directed to Ryan Roche, Managing Director of Development at Oxford College, at rroche@emory.edu.
Thanks to your generosity, recipients of this award will get to know Jacob and the profound effect he had on so many lives. Thank you for helping us honor Jacob’s legacy in such a heartfelt way at Oxford College. Your kindness and support mean the world to us.
With grateful appreciation,
John F. Rawls 94Ox 96C
To Jacob’s family, classmates, friends, and donors to this project:
We are deeply grateful for your generous contribution to the Jacob Cohen-Kashi Endowed Award at Oxford College. Thanks to your support, over $44,000 has been gifted or pledged towards a $50,000 goal. We are excited about the progress we’ve made and the impact your donation will have.
We are still seeking additional gifts and pledges. Please consider making another gift and sharing this link (https://momentum.emory.edu/CohenKashi94) with others to help us achieve our goal. You can share easily on Facebook, X/Twitter, or LinkedIn with these links.
If you or someone you know prefers to make a multi-year pledge, a gift using stocks, or through your donor-advised fund, please contact Ryan Roche, Managing Director of Development, at rroche@emory.edu. For example, several generous donors have made pledges of $5,000 payable over five years.
Jacob was a remarkable individual who faced life’s challenges with resilience and grace. From his early days as a child refugee to his achievements as a scholar and physician, he embodied the values of perseverance and kindness. His legacy is a testament to the strength of the human spirit and the power of education.
Once we reach $50,000, the Jacob Cohen-Kashi Endowed Award will provide financial support each year in perpetuity to a first-generation, international student at Oxford. The recipient will be able to use the funds for expenses related to internships, research, or community-engaged learning. All of the funds donated are committed exclusively to this Endowed Award with no administrative costs.
Thank you for considering this opportunity to honor Jacob and support the next generation of Oxford College students.
With great thanks,
John F. Rawls 94Ox 96C
