Our Crowdfunding Groups
Emory MEDLIFE is the Emory branch of the MEDLIFE organization dedicated to the development of medicine, education, and development for low-income families in Latin America. We aim to empower lower-income areas in fighting for equal access to healthcare and cultivating safer communities around their homes. Our organization aims to inform people of the MEDLIFE mission and promote Service Learning Trips that gather volunteers to provide mobile medical clinics and volunteer care for these populations in Latin America.
The primary goal of Emory MEDLIFE is to increase awareness of the mission of the MEDLIFE organization and offer opportunities for students to make a difference and be part of a greater cause that extends beyond the scope of Emory’s campus through Service Learning Trips and fundraisers to help support lower-income communities internationally.
We also aim to provide pre-health students with resources and support through weekly events that are intended to aid them in their pre-health undergraduate careers and make an impactful difference in the community. For example, we host volunteer sessions at the Hope Lodge every Saturday to maintain hygienic spaces and areas for food preparation for immunocompromised patients. Additionally, we have held academic support events coordinated by our team to provide guidance and tutoring to students during exam periods.
In the future, we plan to continue hosting events and fundraisers surrounding the MEDLIFE mission and promoting Service Learning Trips while also continuing to provide more resources to pre-health students overall.
All funds received will be donated toward the MEDLIFE movement donation fund which allocates all funds towards assisting vying participants from lower-income backgrounds that may not be able to afford the cost of these trips. These donations will help us to purchase medical supplies and equipment for clinics and projects during Service-Learning Trips. As a donor, you would be directly contributing towards helping our members be able to volunteer on these trips and truly make a difference in the healthcare, education, and development states of lower-income communities in Latin America.
A gift to this project is a donation to this organization’s general fund. While the group has stated their needs for funding, their leadership may use funds raised for any purpose consistent with their registered student organization mission at Emory.
