Campers Help Advance Research

June 07, 2024

We have one more week of our crowdfunding campaign!

See our recent publication showing how graduate students and faculty are learning from campers about PKU and Maternal PKU: https://authors.elsevier.com/sd/article/S2214-4269(24)00048-X

The findings of this research study show that females with PKU are significantly impacted by their diagnosis and treatment. They experience unique challenges in their health management, including those related to mental health outcomes, social relationships, and affordability of health care treatments.

Please donate and share our crowdfunding link, http://momentum.emory.edu/metabolic30. Support education and advance research for PKU patients!

Less Than 2 Weeks Remain!

May 19, 2024

INCREDIBLE NEWS!

Thanks to you, our campaign to support Metabolic Camp has been nothing short of amazing. Thank you for your generous donations these past two weeks! We are delighted to have met the AND exceeded the challenge match of Professor and Mrs. Sheth from the Sheth Family Foundation. Together, we’ve raised over $10,000 – and that’s just the beginning!

As we enter the final two weeks of our campaign, the goal post has shifted, and our aspirations have soared. We’re setting our sights on a new summit – $30,000 by May 31st. This isn’t just a number; it’s a beacon of hope for young individuals grappling with PKU and MSUD.

Haven’t had a chance to contribute yet? There’s still time to join this extraordinary movement! Your donation today can ensure that Metabolic Camp continues to provide life-changing support for years to come.

Please share our fundraising link, http://momentum.emory.edu/metabolic30, with your family, friends, and colleagues or share easily on Facebook, Twitter/X, and LinkedIn. Together, let’s celebrate 30 remarkable years of Metabolic Camp by reaching our $30,000 goal. Every share, every conversation, and every donation bring us closer to a future where every young person can thrive despite challenges from an inherited metabolic disorder.

Thank you for being a part of this incredible journey. Let’s make these last two weeks count!

With gratitude,
Dr. Rani Singh and Rosalynn Blair

An Amazing Start!

May 07, 2024

May is PKU Awareness Month, and we are thrilled to launch our crowdfunding campaign to celebrate the 30th Annual Metabolic Camp at Emory University!

The mission of our model, research-based camp intervention is to provide awareness and education to promote healthy pregnancies and to prevent developmental delay that is prevalent in the PKU population, known as Maternal PKU (MPKU) Syndrome.

***EXCITING NEWS ***
This year Professor Jagdish and Mrs. Madhu Sheth, cofounders of the Sheth Family Foundation, have generously provided a challenge gift.  IF we can raise $5,000 by May 31st, they will double each gift and help us raise $10,000 for Metabolic Camp!

We want to thank everyone who has donated so far. Your generosity is incredible!

If you haven’t yet made your gift, please consider donating today!

Please share our crowdfunding link, http://momentum.emory.edu/metabolic30, with your family, friends, and colleagues directly or on Facebook, Twitter/X, and LinkedIn to further support our campaign.
