Martha Dow Fehsenfeld Memorial Gifts

Martha (Marty) Dow Fehsenfeld was founding editor of The Letters of Samuel Beckett (2009-2016) and originator of The Beckett Festival of Radio Plays (1989). She chronicled Beckett as director of his own plays, publishing Beckett in the Theatre: The Author as Practical Playwright and Director (1988) with co-author Dougald McMillan. She served as a production assistant with director Alan Schneider, and acted in Happy Days, Footfalls, and Rockaby. A perceptive critic, she sought collaboration and shared her passion. Her work of a lifetime has been to honor that which speaks to her, and to others, deeply.

Your gift, in lasting memory of Marty, helps to process and preserve the papers of the Samuel Beckett Letters Project for deposit in the Archives of Emory University, so that they can be consulted for years to come.

Gifts in any amount would be greatly appreciated. Please, feel free to indicate an amount at your discretion by clicking the 'Donate Now!' button. All donations will be noted as given in memory of Martha Dow Fehensfeld.
