Our Crowdfunding Groups
TNT Dance Crew, Emory’s premier hip hop team, is excited and humbled to compete in our first competition, the 2025 KAOS Nashville Convention. Established in 2009, we pride ourselves on learning and exploring the culture of hip-hop. Whether we’re flipping through McDonough Field or getting down on the White Hall 208 stage, we’re so excited to bring our self-choreographed routines onto a competition stage. We are asking for your support in funding our transportation, hotel bookings, and competition fees for our dedicated 17 dancers. We are incredibly grateful for your support in any donation size, as this will be our first hip hop-specific competition.
TNT is a hip hop dance crew and a staple of the Emory dance community. We exist to celebrate hip hop dancing and all of its styles. Our mission is to celebrate and strengthen Emory’s appreciation of hip-hop dance. All of our choreography is student-created and through our performances, rigorous practices and open cyphers (freestyle sessions) we emphasize collaboration and growth in the local dance community.
In the past few years, we connected significantly in the dance community, collaborating on events for a variety of Emory dance organizations and Atlanta-based choreographers. Through participation in this competition, we aim to strengthen members’ dance technique and performance skills, representing Emory on a national stage.
Your support will ensure that all our team members will be able to attend this competition happy, healthy, and safely. Along with the competition, we will be fortunate enough to attend dance classes where our dancers can grow in their dance skills, train under famous choreographers and coaches from around the US, and gain unique experiences with their fellow team members. If fortunate enough to exceed our goal, additional funds will be used to purchase team uniforms for performances, fund our signature event (World of Dance) in April, or facilitate team bonding.
A gift to this project is a donation to this organization’s general fund. While the group has stated their needs for funding, their leadership may use funds raised for any purpose consistent with their registered student organization mission at Emory.
