EagleRaiser Details

What is EagleRaiser?
EagleRaiser is a new crowdfunding giving campaign to support Emory's student organizations' specific needs and the Emory student experience. The participating organizations and programs are asking you to make a gift to help them achieve their goals and have the resources they need to make a difference (and have a chance at some bonus dollars)! From October 27 through GivingTuesday on December 2, student groups will have a unique opportunity to engage their networks while their causes are amplified to the broader Emory community of alumni, parents, faculty, staff, and donors.

When is EagleRaiser?
Online giving at
momentum.emory.edu/g/EagleRaiserkicks off officially on Monday, October 27, 2025 and continues through GivingTuesday, December 2, 2025.

What areas can I support?
Please review the participating groups and programs at momentum.emory.edu/g/EagleRaiser to find the area that inspires you.

What if I don't see my area of interest in the participating groups?
Select the “Student and School Support” project from the EagleRaiser page, click the "Donate Now" button, and then select "Other" in the Fund Designation drop down menu. Type in the program and/or fund name you wish to support. We will ensure your gift is designated appropriately.

Is it possible to make a gift by phone?
EagleRaiser provides a platform to easily make online gifts. If you are interested in giving to a particular EagleRaiser project by phone, please call 404.712.GIVE (4483) and be sure to include the name and link of the project that you’d like to support.

Who should I contact with questions about contributions?
For general questions about your gift, like making a Donor Advised Fund (DAF) gift, email
annualgiving@emory.edu.

How do I use digital wallet payment options?
The EagleRaiser platform accepts the following payment options: credit card and digital wallet options of PayPal, Venmo, and ApplePay. Digital wallet options will only appear if they are set up on your personal device. ApplePay is only available when using Safari as your mobile browser (ApplePay is not available on Chrome or Facebook browsers). Venmo is only available on mobile devices. When making your first Venmo gift, a pop-up will ask you to AGREE to Venmo’s service terms; this happens automatically on iPhone but on android devices, you will need to go to your Venmo app.

Are gifts tax-deductible?
All gifts are tax deductible to the extent provided by law. Once you complete your gift transaction, you will receive an email confirmation. Later, you will receive a receipt in the mail, and this will serve as your official gift acknowledgement and tax receipt from Emory University.

When will I be charged for my gift?
Your credit card is charged immediately upon finalizing your gift on the site. When making a gift with your credit card, be sure to use your billing address and NOT your mailing address. Gifts made via Vemno, Paypal, and ApplePay will also be charged immediately against your account upon finalizing your gift on the site.

What do groups participating in EagleRaiser get to help them fundraise?
A dedicated fundraising page on Momentum, Emory's crowdfunding site, with a custom link.
promotional toolkit with messaging templates and images to help share your cause.
Opportunity to earn a share of $5,000 in bonus challenge funds.
Amplified exposure through Emory’s marketing channels.

Can participating student organizations earn bonus money?
Yes! The top student organizations will share $5,000 in bonus awards! We are excited to announce the following leaderboards:

  • The top 8 student organizations with the most gifts between 12 a.m. on October 27 and 11:59 p.m. on December 2 will share $2,500 in bonus awards.
  • The top 8 student organizations with the most dollars raised between 12 a.m. on October 27 and 11:59 p.m. on December 2 will share $2,500 in bonus awards.

Donors can make as many gifts as they would like throughout the event. Each donor must use their own personal information when making a gift. Certain activity, including but not limited to falsifying donor names and completing transactions with a card for which you are not the legal holder, may result in disqualification or your gift being refunded. Emory will review gift reports before announcing winners to ensure accuracy. We encourage you to support the areas you care about by making your gift and then spreading the word to ask others to join you!
