African Student Association

The African Student Association (ASA) at Emory University is a student-led organization dedicated to celebrating and promoting African culture, heritage, and perspectives. We create spaces for education, dialogue, and community through cultural showcases, social events, and discussions on issues affecting the African continent and diaspora. ASA also serves as a supportive community for Emory students of African descent and allies who share an interest in Africa’s diverse cultures and histories. Through our programs, we strive to connect Emory with the broader Atlanta community while uplifting African voices.

Your donation directly supports the African Student Association’s annual cultural showcase/community outreach programs, which highlight the richness of African traditions through dance, music, and art. With your gift, we can provide resources for performers, secure event spaces, and create meaningful opportunities for dialogue and connection within Emory and the greater Atlanta community. Together, we can uplift African voices, celebrate diversity, and strengthen cultural understanding. Thank you for helping us bring these experiences to life.

Our student organization is open to all students.

A gift to this project is a donation to this organization’s general fund. While the group has stated their needs for funding, their leadership may use funds raised for any purpose consistent with their registered student organization mission at Emory.
