The Pulse

Born out of the Alpha Tau Omega fraternity’s basement, The Emory Pulse has been a hub of underground artists from its origin with the express mission to create and maintain a prominent platform for student artists to share their talent with the rest of the University, as well as foster an artistic community of camaraderie and collaboration. We strive to serve as both producer and collective of artistic work and artists respectively. Branching into as many artistic disciplines as possible, The Pulse has produced 19 SYMPOSIUM performances, during which student musicians perform for large crowds of their peers and student artists showcase and sell their works, be it performance, visual art, and/or creative writing. The Pulse has also historically published an annual literary magazine, titled ANTHOLOGY, and managed a blog to promote arts and artists around Emory.

We will need YOUR support to bring more robust and ambitious SYMPOSIUMS to life this semester! Your gift to what would be the 20TH EDITION OF SYMPOSIUM will directly strengthen the heart of Emory’s art community by investing in the next generation of student creators and celebrating artists on campus with an atmosphere worthy of their talent. A rather challenging transition from last semester has led us to focus much of our funding on club essentials like budget art supplies, which leaves us struggling with outdated equipment and bare-bones décor. With your support, we can move beyond these obstacles and create a vibrant, fully independent space that empowers artists to showcase their visions at an event and on a stage that reflects their talent. THANK YOU for helping us cultivate not only an unforgettable symposium, but a thriving community where creativity can flourish!

Our student organization is open to all students.

A gift to this project is a donation to this organization’s general fund. While the group has stated their needs for funding, their leadership may use funds raised for any purpose consistent with their registered student organization mission at Emory.
