Pre-Health Latinx for Atlanta
Emory Pre-Health Latinos for Atlanta is a student-led organization dedicated to raising awareness about the healthcare disparities affecting the Latino community in Atlanta. The Atlanta community is home to 24,510 Latinos and is growing. The importance of advocating for our community stems from experiences of not knowing when one was sick, the lack of resources or networks of support, and above all, what it meant for it “to be too late.” Our mission is to advocate for underserved populations by organizing glucose and blood pressure screenings in Latino neighborhoods and offering Latino Pre-health students meaningful opportunities to shadow and volunteer with medical professionals who serve our community.
Your contribution can help the community in the Metro-Atlanta area gain access to glucose, blood pressure, and other health screenings in Latino neighborhoods, and offer Latino Pre-health students meaningful opportunities to shadow and volunteer with MDs who serve our community. We are sincerely grateful for your donation and hope to use it to continuously expand our support for the Latino community in Metro-Atlanta and Emory.
Our student organization is open to all students.

A gift to this project is a donation to this organization’s general fund. While the group has stated their needs for funding, their leadership may use funds raised for any purpose consistent with their registered student organization mission at Emory.
