Nu Alpha Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc.

The Nu Alpha Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. strives to cultivate and encourage high scholastic and ethical standards, promote unity and friendship among college-aged women, study and help alleviate problems concerning girls and women in order to improve their social stature, maintain a progressive interest in college life, and be of service to all mankind. On Emory's campus we do this by hosting study sessions, fundraising for scholarships to local young women in highschool, participating in a Powderpuff Fundraiser game to raise money for the Women in Sports Foundation to reduce the inequality in that field, fundraising for Breast Cancer Awareness, hosting conversations and activities centered around current events of social justice, environmental protection, service, wealth management, sisterly relations, and generational development.

As a donor, the Nu Alpha Chapter can increase the impact of our current events and have more flexibility in the types of events and materials to maximize our impact within and outside of the Emory community.

Our student organization is open to all students.

A gift to this project is a donation to this organization’s general fund. While the group has stated their needs for funding, their leadership may use funds raised for any purpose consistent with their registered student organization mission at Emory.
