Emory Remote Area Medical
We are the Emory University chapter of Remote Area Medical (RAM), an organization dedicated to addressing healthcare disparities in underserved and rural communities. RAM is a national nonprofit that partners with local leaders to host free pop-up clinics, providing medical, dental, and vision care to individuals without reliable access to healthcare. Since our founding in 2019, Emory RAM has mobilized students to serve as patient guides, translators, medical and dental assistants, and clinic organizers, gaining hands-on experience while making healthcare accessible to those who need it most.
Your donation will directly support our Spring 2026 clinic in Augusta, Georgia, where we hope to provide over $200,000 worth of free healthcare services, serving hundreds of patients. While national RAM supplies the medical equipment used at the clinic, Emory RAM is responsible for covering clinic costs such as transportation, lodging, and other essential supplies. By donating, you not only make it possible for patients in Augusta to receive critical care at no cost, you also empower Emory students to become compassionate leaders committed to healthcare equity. We cannot thank you enough for supporting both our volunteers and the communities we serve!
Our student organization is open to all students.
A gift to this project is a donation to this organization’s general fund. While the group has stated their needs for funding, their leadership may use funds raised for any purpose consistent with their registered student organization mission at Emory.
