What is Savera?

Savera is Emory University’s Indian classical dance team, dedicated to celebrating and sharing South Asian culture through performance. Our team trains year-round in traditional dance styles while also fostering cultural appreciation and community on campus. Savera performs at campus events, cultural showcases, and competitions, representing Emory on both regional and national stages.

Our Impact

This campaign supports Savera as we prepare to compete at national competitions across the country. The funds raised will help cover travel, lodging, and competition-related fees, making it possible for our dancers to attend and perform. Through these competitions, Savera showcases South Asian art and tradition while building cultural awareness at Emory and beyond. Our team also serves as a space for community, leadership, and cultural expression for students from all backgrounds.
