This campaign has ended, but you can still support the Emory Vaccine Center, Public Health Preparedness and Research fund, Emory Nursing Learning Center, Emory Healthcare Employee Hardship Donation, and Emory COVID-19 Impact Fund by making a gift here, today!
Thank you so much for your support of COVID-19 response at Emory! Your generosity helps support Emory Healthcare employees, advance training at the Emory Nursing Learning Center, or accelerates public outreach and vaccine research.
Let’s increase our impact together! Help us spread the word and ask your friends to join you, so we can continue to thrive in the face of the pandemic. Please share this campaign with your networks, using the social share buttons on our page or here via Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, or via email (http://momentum.emory.edu/forward).
Thank you again for being a part of this global giving movement. Your gift and every gift you inspire will help Emory fulfill its commitment to radically reshape the future to serve humanity through knowledge.
Your philanthropic support to keep fighting the COVID-19 pandemic has enhanced and accelerated the broad work to conquer the coronavirus, such as advancing lifesaving research in new treatments, preventions, and cures. On October 1, Merck and Ridgeback announced their plan to seek Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) for Molnupiravir, an investigational oral antiviral therapeautic for COVID-19 that was discovered by researchers at Emory University.
Dr. Jonathan S. Lewin, Executive Vice President for Health Affairs at Emory University and CEO and Chair of the Board of Emory Healthcare shared, “this is a true breakthrough in the international fight against COVID-19, and our team at DRIVE deserves great credit for their work in bringing this drug to fruition. Congratulations to the DRIVE team and to all the Emory researchers whose work has contributed and led up to this important discovery. It is a wonderful example of the importance of academic research that improves lives and brings hope to millions.”
Join us today, Wednesday, Oct. 6th at 11 am EDT, for a Facebook LIVE event with Emory University President Gregory L. Fenves and Emory's Dr. Jodie Guest to discuss Molnupiravir within the larger context of Emory's research eminence. Emory has in the past advanced the development of some of the world’s most important and valuable antiviral drugs, successfully taking treatments from bench to bedside. https://www.facebook.com/events/283208183445876?ref=newsfeed
