After a year-long absence, Juice returned to the field in the Fall of 2021 with a hunger to both compete and improve. Under new head coach Zach Cole, a large group of committed individuals came together to compete in the fall. We qualified for the Southeast Regional Tournament and although falling short of our goals to reach the 2021 College Nationals, the team bounced back to finish with a winning record over the weekend. We also grew closer as friends through trivia nights, billiards, and volunteering with Trees Atlanta. The team hopes to build on our strong foundation of the fall to be the first Juice team to make it to College Nationals. We are working harder than ever to achieve that goal with focused and intense practices, mandatory workouts, scrimmages with local club players, and the formation of a Developmental team to improve as a whole program. We look forward to the spring season as a time where we can continue our growth as a team, so Juice can perform at its highest level at upcoming tournaments.
In the face of the pandemic, the team has grown. We have seen record attendance for our fall season with a roster size surpassing the 2019 season. We need your support to continue competing at a high level together as a whole team. An important step in making our push to College Nationals is to perform well at our upcoming tournaments to qualify for a strength bid (earning a spot to play at the national tournament) in the Southeast region. Your generous support is greatly appreciated for the tournaments we attend for travel, lodging, and equipment costs. Our schedule this semester includes tournaments in Louisiana and Ohio, and we hope you consider offering support for these tournaments to a dedicated and spirited team with high aspirations.
Juice enhances our sense of school spirit and plays an essential part in our college experience. After a year of no competitive ultimate frisbee, we want to provide that experience to our current team. We recognize that we are continuing a legacy started by those who came before us.
