Thank you for your interest in the 2022 Juice Momentum project. This campaign has ended, but you can still support Juice Ultimate Frisbee Team by making a gift here today!
We wanted to reach out one more time to thank everyone who donated to Emory Juice’s 2022 momentum fundraiser! We exceeded our goal and could not be more excited for what’s to come for our team this Spring and next year.
Last weekend, we skipped over to Athens for our Sectionals tournament at the University of Georgia. After a slow start out of the car, the team worked its way to a respectable 2-1 record in pool play that matched us up to play Georgia Tech in the quarterfinals. In the fourth game on Saturday, Juice fell to our cross-town rivals, sending us to the second chance bracket to fight for the remaining bids to Regionals.
The team came out hot on Sunday with wins over Georgia Southern and University of Tennessee Chattanooga. Juice left Athens on Sunday with the fourth seed to Regionals which will be held from April 30 to May 1 in Decatur, Alabama. You can keep following us for updates and scores on our Twitter!
Your generous donations made this tournament possible, as we were able to bring a big group to Athens that helped us have high energy and a positive attitude as a team throughout the weekend. We are grateful to have the opportunity to bring so many of us to share in that experience together.
Thank you again for helping out Juice this year and look out for us at Regionals in a couple weeks!
Thank you so much for donating to Emory Juice’s 2022 momentum fundraiser! We wanted to give you an update on our team’s progress and how your gift is helping us this Spring.
Last week, a team of both veterans and newcomers packed into cars and traveled the scenic eight hours to LSU in Baton Rouge, Louisiana to participate in the annual Mardi Gras tournament. We made sure to redeem the long hours spent in the car and came out strong on Saturday to the tune of a 4–0 record, boasting a statement 13–7 win over host LSU. The team also feasted off the field, eating jambalaya together in between games and upholding tradition with Mexican cuisine for dinner.
A windier Sunday led to closer games, but the team grinded out two key wins against Mississippi State and Florida State to advance to the final for a rematch against LSU. Tired legs and early execution errors led to Juice falling in the final. Coming into the tournament seeded third, we placed second and proved able to overcome top teams in our region.
Your support truly made this great trip possible to help us with travel and lodging fees over the course of the weekend. We made the most of our time both on the field and off, and we are very grateful to have that opportunity.
Your generous gift helped our team reach 72% of our updated campaign goal of $5,000, with only a couple weeks remaining. If you could spread the word about our campaign, we would greatly appreciate any further help!
